About the Role
The Engineering Site Manager will lead the Process Engineering team at Hunter Douglas, ensuring all processes adhere to standard work that guarantees employee safety, product quality, process efficiency, and on-time deliveries. This is a senior leadership role responsible for driving process improvements and managing engineering projects.
Key Responsibilities
- →Manage and coordinate the work of the process engineering team
- →Assign engineering resources to meet project timelines and objectives
- →Lead and represent the process engineering organization to internal and external stakeholders
- →Resolve crucial issues and unique conditions using progressive experience
- →Lead cross-departmental meetings and facilitate data collaboration
- →Guide projects from concept to full production
- →Define and document direct labor needs for plant processes
- →Lead multidisciplinary teams to achieve process target efficiencies
- →Ensure development, validation and maintenance of standard work and cycle times
- →Lead LV1 implementation and ensure proper documentation
- →Develop and maintain Process Failure Mode and Effects Analyses (PFMEAs)
- →Perform safety walks and weekly Process/Gemba Walks
- →Validate packaging design and specifications
- →Define optimal layouts and process flows for new equipment
- →Lead productive capacity studies and validation
- →Develop business cases for engineering projects
- →Monitor and ensure attainment of engineering budget
- →Mentor, coach and train employees
- →Communicate risks to top management
- →Support product launches and special projects
