We are seeking a Project Manager to join our Private Equity and M&A team! A focal point of the IMA Next growth strategy is the creation and development of industry vertical and product specialty practice areas. Within the Private Equity and M&A specialty practice, IMA will align the IMA resources needed to deliver superior services tailored to meet the specific needs of private equity investors and corporate clients contemplating a merger or acquisition. This role leads the due diligence process from initial engagement through deal close, working with various departments across the IMA enterprise to complete and deliver the diligence report.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Support and demonstrates IMA’s core values

• Independently access and analyze due diligence data site content: review, download, and organize due diligence matters; and distribute relevant information to internal teams and industry specialists for comprehensive analysis.
• Participate in client presentations and fund stewardship reports with minimal oversight.
• Maintain consistent, high-quality client services according to set expectations.
• With minimal oversight, conduct an overall evaluation of target company’s existing and historical insurance programs to determine adequacy of coverage and identify potential post-close needs.
• With minimal oversight, collaborate with product line specialists to assess transaction-specific exposures, analyze coverage, conduct actuarial assessments of self-funded costs, identify potential uninsured risks.
• Estimate pricing for recommended, transaction-specific, and post-close coverages.
• Evaluate and project estimated annual cost of risk for target-company’s insurance program.
• Work with IMA client advantage partners to identify insurance-related considerations (e.g. Claims, Risk Control, Legal).
• Ensure a smooth and thorough handoff to the IMA service team post-transaction.
Required skills and experiences:
• 5-7 years of professional insurance experience preferred.
• Property & Casualty (P&C) license (must be obtained within the first 3 months of hire).
• Basic understanding of the P&C insurance due diligence process.
• Foundational knowledge of the private equity sector and corporate acquisitions.
• Ability to assess the financial impact of P&C insurance in acquisition scenarios.
• Flexibility and responsiveness to meet the fact-paced demands of the private equity space.
• Some experience working with C-suite executives.
• Strong technical skills to support client service and deliverables.
• Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, carriers, and partners.
• Bachelor’s degree required, advanced degree a plus.
Salary Range$100,000—$150,000 USDQualified applicants with arrest or conviction records will be considered for employment in accordance with the Los Angeles County Fair Chance Ordinance and the California Fair Chance Act.
