About the Role

Included Health is seeking a Staff Accountant to join their GL Accounting team. This role is crucial to the financial health of the organization, taking ownership of key accounting functions from daily transactions to supporting month-end close processes and year-end audits. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem-solver with a strong analytical mindset, ready to grow in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

→Manage and reconcile daily cash transactions across multiple bank accounts
→Analyze existing cash processes and implement solutions to optimize cash application
→Collaborate with Accounts Payable team to resolve outstanding checks
→Prepare and analyze monthly cash reports for senior management
→Lead and execute assigned tasks during month-end close process
→Reconcile and balance general ledger accounts, investigating and resolving variances
→Maintain fixed asset subledger and record transactions accurately
→Record prepaid expenses and manage amortization schedules
→Contribute to financial projects like corporate credit card and travel expense accounting
→Compile, analyze, and prepare journal entries with supporting documentation
→Assist with annual audit by preparing schedules and documentation
→Support pre-audit preparation to maintain clean audit record

Requirements

✓Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
✓2-5 years of accounting work experience
✓Proficiency with ERP systems (Workday experience is a plus)
✓Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs
✓Excellent verbal and written communication skills
✓Ability to multitask, work independently and meet deadlines with high accuracy
✓Sense of urgency in completing tasks and ownership of assigned work
✓Ability to manage competing priorities in dynamic environment
✓Eagerness to continue learning and take on new tasks
