About the Role
We are looking for a Sales Engineer to join our team at Industrial Electric Mfg. (IEM), the largest independent manufacturer of custom power distribution systems in North America. This role involves selling IEM power distribution products through direct channels and developing key accounts.
Key Responsibilities
- →Establish and execute an account plan in collaboration with the Sales Director
- →Build positive relationships with account decision-makers and influencers
- →Understand and articulate the client buying process
- →Identify and engage in revenue opportunities within defined accounts
- →Develop proposals that meet/exceed client requirements
- →Oversee handover to the Platform Execution team
- →Maintain oversight of commercial engagements for customer success
- →Be knowledgeable of client’s business and IEM products to articulate value
- →Advocate for IEM within client organizations and clients within IEM
- →Provide guidance to internal stakeholders for client execution
- →Manage forecasting and provide information for capacity planning
Requirements
- ✓Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or related field
- ✓5-10 years’ experience in the sale of power distribution equipment
- ✓Track record of negotiating medium and large project orders
- ✓Experience generating accurate project proposals with MV/LV switchgear
- ✓Self-motivated with excellent communication, presentation, and negotiating skills
- ✓Experience utilizing Salesforce is a plus
