About the Role
We are seeking a Java DevOps Engineer to modernize applications and build a cloud-ready platform. This role combines Java engineering with hands-on DevOps to ensure critical services remain fast, observable, and reliable.
Key Responsibilities
- →Migrate WildFly/JBoss applications to Spring Boot, replacing EJB/JMS with cloud-ready components.
- →Maintain codebases using OpenRewrite, Renovate, and AI-assisted analysis to reduce repetitive work and identify risks early.
- →Build, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and configuration management.
- →Support and enhance Kubernetes-based runtime environments.
- →Implement safe rollout strategies including blue/green, canary, and automated smoke checks.
- →Participate in an on-call rotation and respond to production incidents.
- →Diagnose issues under real-world constraints, perform root-cause analysis, and drive permanent fixes.
- →Implement and evolve logging, metrics, and tracing across services.
- →Build meaningful dashboards and alerts for fast detection and consistent debugging.
- →Create and maintain integration, regression, and smoke tests to protect deployments and migrations.
Requirements
