About the Role

We are looking for a Manager, Software Engineering to join our team at Inovalon. This role is responsible for managing a team of engineers and overseeing product releases, contributing to our mission of transforming the healthcare ecosystem through data-driven solutions.

Key Responsibilities

→Manage a global team of engineers following organization-defined management processes
→Lead engineering programs for efficient, high-quality new product and patch releases
→Understand customer needs and product purpose to achieve the best results
→Contribute hands-on at the Sr. Software Engineer level when required
→Work cross-functionally with QA and DevOps teams for automated product delivery
→Collaborate with business and technology teams to ensure organizational effectiveness
→Establish individual and departmental goals, track metrics, and deliver objectives
→Assist in technology roadmap delivery while meeting defined budget
→Attract, recruit, retain, and develop top talent
→Foster a growth mindset and support employee development
→Maintain compliance with Inovalon’s policies, procedures, and mission statement
→Adhere to confidentiality and HIPAA requirements
→Participate in an on-call rotation to support critical issues

Requirements

✓8+ years’ experience as a Software Engineer
✓0-2 years of experience as a manager preferred
✓Adept in at least one programming language with deep technical expertise in one vertical technical area
✓Domain expertise at the module level and expertise in one operating system
✓Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
✓Excellent verbal and written communication skills
✓Strong time management and organizational/prioritization skills
✓Ability to multi-task with close attention to detail
✓Proven ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines
✓Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Sciences, engineering, or science
