About the Role
We are looking for a Robotics Software Engineer to join Intrinsic, Alphabet's initiative to reimagine industrial robotics. This role focuses on optimizing digital twins and robotic processes to ensure efficient simulation that translates directly to performance improvements in the real world.
Key Responsibilities
- →Identify and document performance bottlenecks for our Factory of the Future and AI workcell simulations.
- →Optimize digital twin performance, specifically regarding 3D geometries and scene design.
- →Support and optimize services integration within the AI workcell and Factory of the Future.
- →Develop applications to evaluate the cycle time impact of changes and drive improvements to programmed processes.
- →Improve the fidelity of assets and the performance of skills on the platform to ensure better execution in both simulation and real hardware.
Requirements
- ✓Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Robotics, or a related field.
- ✓3 years of experience in software development using C++ and Python.
- ✓Experience with robotic simulation environments (e.g., Gazebo, MuJoCo, or Isaac Sim).
- ✓Proven track record of identifying performance bottlenecks and optimizing software.
- ✓Experience with 3D geometry processing, scene design, or game engine optimization.
- ✓Domain knowledge in robotics and industrial automation.
