About the Role
We are looking for an Operations Manager to join ION, a leading provider of trading and workflow automation software. This role requires technical expertise, leadership skills, and stakeholder management abilities to ensure the highest level of availability and support for client production trading systems.
Key Responsibilities
- →Support the Global Head of Infrastructure through management and leadership of the L1-L3 operations team
- →Own responsibility for managing/planning day-to-day operational activities in a fast-paced environment
- →Ensure highest levels of service availability through adherence to incident, change, and problem processes
- →Act as a management escalation point for all monitoring, alerting, and operational issues
- →Support the Global Head of Infrastructure in driving improvements in ION's operating efficiency
- →Provide Major Incident support during unplanned service outages
- →Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of system engineers
- →Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery
- →Define and monitor KPIs and metrics for team performance and service delivery
- →Serve as a key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders
- →Ensure compliance with cybersecurity best practices and regulatory requirements
Requirements
- ✓Experience managing a team in a relevant operations environment supporting HA/Mission Critical systems
- ✓Understanding of mission critical systems in support of business deliverables
- ✓Problem-solving skills with a strong engineering background in networks or systems
- ✓Experience leading small technical teams, including succession planning and career development
- ✓Strong stakeholder engagement skills and effective communication with senior leadership
- ✓Commitment to staff development, engagement, and retention
- ✓Experience with infrastructure-as-code and automation tools (Terraform, Ansible, PowerShell)
- ✓Experience running Linux systems at scale
