About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Back End Engineer to join iwoca's engineering team focused on our German business. This role involves building and maintaining systems that power our German operations, including tools for underwriting, notifications, and account management.
Key Responsibilities
- →Design and build back-end services that support core operational workflows
- →Simplify workflows by automating operational needs into reliable code
- →Evolve the architecture by identifying ways to modernize systems
- →Advocate for quality through code reviews and design sessions
- →Lead projects end-to-end, developing commercial judgment
Requirements
- ✓Proven track record in designing and building backend systems using Python
- ✓Experience working with relational databases like PostgreSQL or MySQL
- ✓Experience with systems supporting complex workflows
- ✓Track record of taking work from initial problem through to delivery
- ✓Drive to continually improve existing systems
