Who You Are
Justworks is seeking a Senior Operations Analyst to transform how Operations works using AI and automation. This role is focused on identifying opportunities to change how processes are done, and building smarter, faster, and scalable ways of working across teams and systems.
In this role, you'll partner with teams to diagnose, build, and enable new ways of working through process improvement, automation, and AI. You'll own high-impact initiatives end-to-end, from identifying pain-points and opportunities to designing, testing, and shipping solutions that drive our strategy forward.
You're naturally curious and operate with urgency and agency. You don't wait to be told what to do — you see opportunities and drive them forward. You're comfortable navigating ambiguity, working cross-functionally, using data to guide decisions, and pushing for impactful change.
Your Success Profile
What You Will Work On
• Cross-Team Discovery and Optimization: Own and lead cross-team discovery and root cause analysis to identify systemic operational issues and coordinate solutions that improve workflows across teams.
• Design and Implement Scalable Solutions: Design and deploy auditable end-to-end workflows, agents, and automations using no/low-code tools (e.g., Zapier, Claude) to significantly improve efficiency and customer experience, reduce risk, and increase strategic outcomes.
• Strategic Reporting & Insights: Build and maintain advanced queries, dashboards, and reports that not only monitor key metrics but also surface impact of change, strategic opportunities for process redesign, and where larger technology investments are needed.
• Elevate Team Capability: Actively drive team data and AI literacy through learning & development, mentorship, and demos to foster a more self-sufficient and data-driven culture.
• Technology Partnership: Standardize how operational asks are validated, framed, and triaged before engaging Technology partners, ensuring clear prioritization and accelerating data-driven technology decisions.
• Execute critical operational processes with precision, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and adherence to SLAs.
• Perform other related responsibilities as needed based on department and/or organizational needs.

Qualifications
• 5+ years of professional experience in operations, business operations, or related roles.
• An effective communicator, having worked with both business and technical stakeholders.
• An organized individual who demonstrates strong attention to detail & process-oriented mindset; process improvement experience required.
• A systems-thinker who solves for root causes.
• A self-starter with a bias for action and proven ability to deliver results in ambiguity.
• Experience building automations using AI, no/low-code tools, along with strong SQL skills:
• SQL: Selecting, aggregation, filtering, joins, and CTEs
• AI: Prompting, troubleshooting, and building workflows or agents using AI tools
• No/low-code automation tools: Experience with platforms such as Zapier, Gumloop, and N8N
• Hands-on experience with specific tools a plus: JIRA, Confluence, Excel, Tableau, workflow automation tools like Claude, Zapier and Gumloop.
The base wage range for this position based in our New York City Office is targeted at $109,000.00 to $136,000.00 per year.

Actual compensation is based on multiple factors that are unique to each candidate, including and not limited to skill set, level of relevant experience, and specific work location. Salary ranges for positions based in other locations may differ based on the cost of labor in that location.
