About the Role

We are looking for a Lead Software Engineer to join our Developer Infrastructure team at Klaviyo. This role involves serving as the primary technical architect for our Dependencies and Platform domain while driving the technical vision for the entire Dev Infra group.

Key Responsibilities

→Define technical strategy for the Klaviyo backend and execute to improve architecture, products, infrastructure, and processes
→Define the technical vision and architectural roadmap for the platform
→Lead efforts to determine, analyze, and optimize backend and third-party dependencies
→Oversee and assist with the planning and rollout of major software releases
→Drive initiatives to improve platform cycle time metrics
→Mentor other engineers regularly
→Act as a go-to expert for diagnosing and resolving complex performance issues
→Partner with product managers, security teams, and other stakeholders
→Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends

Requirements

✓12 years of experience in software development
✓Strong knowledge of computer science fundamentals and domain-driven design
✓Deep expertise in programming languages (e.g., Go, Python) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
✓Experience with containerization (Kubernetes, Docker) and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
✓Demonstrated experience in contributing to product and platform vision
✓Strong understanding of software architecture and design patterns
✓Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, leadership, and communication skills
✓AI Enthusiast with experience experimenting with AI in work or personal projects
