About the Role
We are looking for a Software Engineer to join the Groups Team at Klaviyo. This role involves designing, building, and maintaining systems to support core product areas in a real-time data platform built on AWS.
Key Responsibilities
- →Design, build, and maintain systems for core product areas
- →Work with cross-functional teams to refine feature specifications
- →Write technical design documents and create system infrastructure
- →Write high-quality code and operate large-scale systems in production
- →Review other engineers' designs and code
- →Provide technical mentorship to other engineers
Requirements
- ✓7+ years of experience in software engineering
- ✓Highly skilled in using at least one modern programming language
- ✓Experience with distributed systems in a cloud computing environment
- ✓Experience with OLTP and OLAP databases
- ✓Understanding of schema design, normalization, denormalization trade-offs
- ✓Experience with high volume data processing and storage systems
- ✓Experience using Linux operating systems
- ✓Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- ✓Ability to work with others on a team
- ✓Ability to learn continuously and adapt to a high growth environment
- ✓Ability to solve difficult problems
- ✓BA or BS Degree in Computer Science, related field, or equivalent experience
