We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Data Analyst to join the Kochava Foundry team. The role will involve writing SQL queries, analyzing data, delivering detailed reports, and automating various processes through hybrid Python scripting solutions. The ideal candidate should possess strong experience in Python automation, have a strong understanding of working with Google BigQuery and AWS Redshift databases, and preferably have exposure to AI technologies. Additionally, experience with Google Cloud and AWS services for data storage is preferred.
This position is based at our Headquarters in Sandpoint, Idaho. Candidates must live in or be willing to commute to the HQ location.
Job Responsibilities
β’ Design, develop, and optimize complex SQL queries to extract and analyze data from Google BigQuery and AWS Redshift databases.
β’ Develop and deliver comprehensive reports to clients and internal teams to drive data-driven decision-making processes.
β’ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications and solutions.
β’ Utilize Python for data analysis, transformation tasks, and statistical modeling.
β’ Design, develop, and maintain hybrid Python scripts to automate workflows, data processing pipelines, and reporting tasks.
β’ Implement and manage automation workflows using Apache Airflow to streamline data processing and report generation.
β’ Support the data storage infrastructure on Google Cloud and AWS services.
β’ Leverage AI technologies to enhance data analysis and provide insights where applicable.
β’ Create visualizations and dashboards as needed to communicate insights to stakeholders.
β’ Ensure data quality and integrity by conducting rigorous testing and validation procedures.
β’ Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in data analysis, AI, and engineering.
Qualifications
β’ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.
β’ Proven experience in SQL query writing and data analysis.
β’ Strong proficiency in Python, particularly for scripting and automation.
β’ Demonstrated ability to create and maintain hybrid Python scripts for workflow automation.
β’ Hands-on experience with large databases, Google BigQuery and AWS Redshift preferred.
β’ Familiarity with Google Cloud and AWS services for data storage.
β’ Familiarity with MCP (Model Context Protocol) connections is a plus.
β’ Preferred experience working with AI technologies and tools.
β’ Preferred experience in the AdTech industry.
β’ Knowledge of automation frameworks, particularly Apache Airflow, is highly desirable.
β’ Experience with data visualization tools (Apache Superset, Tableau, or similar) is a plus.
β’ Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
β’ Excellent communication skills with the ability to present technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
β’ Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Kochava began in 2011 when a team of mobile and gaming professionals saw the need to better understand the feedback loop of user acquisition, engagement, and LTV for mobile applications. Through the process of creating apps for customers from a wide range of industries,Β we were repeatedly asked if we could shed some light on what media advertising efforts were converting and the effectiveness of their mobile ad spend by partner. Realizing a solution to these questions wasnβt readily available, we started designing and building a mobile measurement platform that would become Kochava. Β Β
