About the Role

The Data Analyst at Kpler plays a key role in understanding, analyzing, and transforming data to enhance the company's analytical output and product offerings in the maritime industry. This position combines data expertise with industry knowledge to align data solutions with market needs.

Key Responsibilities

→Perform daily checks - organizing, cleansing, validating and managing data from various sources on Kpler platform to ensure reliability and accuracy.
→Continuously monitor data quality and suggest KPI improvements.
→Research, collect, and process vessel, company, and metadata to enhance product value.
→Build dashboards for clients to visualize market movement, trends and performance.
→Apply analytical methods to ensure accurate, error-free data presentation.
→Identify technology and process improvements to automate routine tasks.
→Respond to ad-hoc requests from clients relating to data and analysis.
→Build market expertise in maritime and ship tracking data.

Requirements

✓Strong understanding of the maritime industry and maritime data.
✓Analytical thinker with a demonstrated curiosity for learning and applying new technologies.
✓Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
✓Experience working in a global team environment.
✓Nice to have: Experience using SQL and Python to work with large data sets.
✓Nice to have: Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI.
