About the Role
We are looking for a Rust Engineer to join our Product Engineering team at Kraken. This role focuses on building robust Rust services and libraries that power trading, payments, and crypto experiences with a focus on reliability, performance, and user impact.
Key Responsibilities
- →Design and implement robust Rust services and libraries that power trading, payments, and crypto experiences
- →Write reusable, testable, and highly efficient code that scales across teams and supports revenue-critical systems
- →Collaborate on large-scale distributed systems architecture, translating evolving product requirements into resilient solutions

Requirements
- ✓3+ years of experience in software engineering, ideally building consumer facing products
- ✓Proficiency in writing network services or asynchronous code in Rust
- ✓Demonstrated commitment to a security-first mindset when designing systems
- ✓Capability to autonomously debug issues across the stack, including OS, network, and application layers
- ✓Familiarity with distributed systems and technologies, including RPC protocols, Kafka, and Event Driven Systems
