About the Role
We are looking for a Team Lead to join Kraken's engineering organization. This role involves guiding product development, balancing operational effectiveness, team support, strategic alignment, and technical leadership.
Key Responsibilities

Requirements
- ✓Experience as a Lead Software Engineer
- ✓Clear, regular communication skills
- ✓Strategic thinking and ability to translate to action
- ✓Advocacy for team and products
- ✓Commitment to mentorship and support
- ✓Strong organisational habits
- ✓Experience with Python, Django, domain modelling, HTTP and REST APIs
- ✓Ability to write robust and fault-tolerant software
- ✓Experience with Celery and async processing
- ✓Postgres experience
- ✓AWS, Terraform, Packer, Consul experience is a bonus
- ✓Ability to speak Japanese is a plus
