Language Manager - Spanish (Spain) at larian

With multiple awards to our name, Larian Studios has proven that we’re dedicated to delivering high-quality role-playing games As we move on to new projects, the studio that brought you Baldur’s Gate 3 & Divinity: Original Sin 2 is looking for a Language Manager (Spanish - Spain) to join the team and help us in crafting the high calibre games our fans have come to expect. This role is awarded as a 2 year Fixed Term Contract. Responsibilities • Own the quality of the Spanish translations • Translates in-game text, voice scripts, marketing and PR content as required to support products and services through development, launch and beyond • Creates and maintains translation memories, glossaries, and style guides • Provides cultural and creative input regarding the localization of Larian products into the target region • Maintains awareness of the games industry in the target market and communicates trends to relevant stakeholders • Develops and builds strong relationships with relevant stakeholders in an effort to resolve questions or conflicts related to terminology, language quality and workflow • Playtests to confirm in-game text context for accurate translation • Collaborates with external localization vendors to improve the language quality Requirements • 2 years of experience or more localizing video games • Strong writing and editing skills in Spanish (Spain) • Fluent in English • Experience localizing time-delimited dialogues • Experience with CAT Tools, memoQ is a plus Nice to Haves • At least one AAA game shipped • Experience with voice acting casting • Experience with Confluence and JIRA What we offer • An international team of over 500 employees spread across 7 studios around the world, each of which have their own unique qualities, and maintain a small-studio feel • An open, collaborative environment where ideas are welcome and encouraged • A managerial team consisting of highly experienced game developers at the top of their fields • Sharing hobbies and passions with like-minded colleagues • Inclusive environment with many activities organized by the studios or the employees • Commitment to making the best game possible for the fans, including listening to community feedback
