About the Role
We are seeking a Data Science Team Lead to guide a team of up to 10 data scientists. This role involves setting technical direction, mentoring team members, and bridging business problems with data science solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- →Lead, mentor and motivate a data science team of up to 10 people
- →Collaborate with cross-functional digital teams including Product Management, Engineering and Design
- →Bridge the gap between business problems and data science solutions
- →Utilise strong analytical and modelling skills to design, build, and validate machine learning solutions
- →Define and lead the end-to-end lifecycle of data products in an agile environment
- →Conduct and document detailed analysis to prioritise use cases and communicate trade-offs to stakeholders
- →Work closely with data and platform engineers on ETL pipelines and cloud-based environments
- →Collaborate with cross-functional Agile teams in remote and on-site settings
- →Provide BAU support for existing models and data products
Requirements
- ✓Experience leading data science teams
- ✓Strong analytical and modelling skills
- ✓Knowledge of machine learning methods including tree-based methods and neural networks
- ✓Experience with cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure)
- ✓Familiarity with modern data platforms (Snowflake, Databricks)
