About the Role

We are looking for a Backend Infrastructure Engineer to join our Infrastructure Team at Liftoff. This role involves building and maintaining the tooling necessary for managing and monitoring thousands of servers that run dozens of services. You will be responsible for host provisioning, configuration, rapid code deployment, service configuration and monitoring tools, and automated code testing and linting. Liftoff processes hundreds of TB of data daily, and this team owns most of the infrastructure powering our real-time data pipelines.

Requirements

✓Strong coding ability, with experience in Go being a plus.
✓8+ years of software engineering experience.
✓B.S. or higher in Computer Science (or equivalent work experience).
✓Solid core CS fundamentals (data structures, algorithms, architecting systems).
✓Experience with major cloud technologies AWS, Azure, or GCP.
✓Experience building high-scale distributed systems and backend architectures.
✓Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and ability to get things done.
✓Genuine interest and/or experience in debugging and troubleshooting complex distributed systems problems.
✓Ability to lead and collaborate across team and role boundaries to effect large-scale change in culture and systems.
