About the Role
We are looking for a Lead Lightning Network Infrastructure Engineer to join our team at Lightspark. This role involves designing, building, and scaling production services in Python, Go, and Rust, as well as leading and mentoring a team of Lightning Engineers.
Key Responsibilities
- →Design and build production services in Python, Go, and Rust
- →Debug production issues and support customers in their integration of the company's services
- →Create long-term strategies and tooling to improve stability, debuggability, monitoring, and support for company’s services and customers
- →Implement new features of the Lightning Protocol to keep the company’s services at the cutting edge
- →Collaborate with the Lightning network and Bitcoin communities to make core protocol improvements
- →Lead and mentor a team of Lightning Engineers
- →Act as a technical leader to ensure the integrity of the platform and promote good practices across the team
- →Build frameworks to collect and analyze Lightning data for solution improvement
Requirements
- ✓Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or Engineering
- ✓7 years of experience in Software Engineering or related occupation
- ✓7 years of experience designing, building, scaling, and maintaining API services and distributed systems using GraphQL, REST, Thrift, PostgreSQL, Redis, and Memcached
- ✓7 years of experience working with engineering and product leadership teams to drive technical strategy and roadmaps
- ✓7 years of experience mentoring engineers
- ✓5 years of experience developing novel engineering solutions using Go, Rust, Python, Scala, Java, and Kotlin
- ✓2 years of experience working with AWS infrastructure, Kubernetes, and Docker
- ✓2 years of experience configuring deployments using Helm and Terraform, and implementing monitoring and alerting best practices using Prometheus and Grafana
