We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer with extension experience in Browser Automation or Applied AI.
About this team
The AI Technology Team within our Product Technology Group serves as BOLDβs internal incubator for applied AI, leveraging the latest large-language models to tackle our most complex challenges. We are building an intelligent automation framework designed to solve real-world career workflows at scale. We are looking for engineers who are passionate about high-scale browser automation and agentic AI systems that reason, plan, and adapt. This role is hybrid; you'll collaborate in person with the engineering team in Guaynabo 2 days a week.
What you'll do
β’ Design & Architect: Contribute to the design, development, and deployment of intelligent automation systems and scalable browser-based frameworks.
β’ Build Agentic Workflows: (AI Focus) Implement multi-step workflows leveraging reasoning, self-reflection, and adaptive execution strategies.
β’ Scale Automation: (Browser Focus) Design and maintain large-scale browser automation systems using tools like Playwright, Selenium, or Puppeteer.
β’ Optimize Performance: Refine LLM prompts for accuracy and develop monitoring systems to detect automation drift or performance issues.
β’ Solve Complex Edge Cases: Navigate challenges like bot detection, captchas, shadow DOM, and dynamic rendering.
β’ Collaborate Globally: Work across high-performing, cross-functional teams to translate vision into end-to-end production features.
β’ Mentor: Guide junior engineers and promote engineering best practices and technical excellence.
What you'll need
β’ Experience: 5β7 years of professional software engineering experience building and shipping production-grade systems.
β’ Technical Mastery: Expert-level proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript.
β’ Specialized Track (Browser): Deep experience with browser automation frameworks (Playwright, Selenium, Puppeteer) and a strong understanding of DOM architecture.
β’ Specialized Track (AI): Hands-on experience with LLMs, RAG pipelines, vector databases, and frameworks like LangChain or LangGraph.
β’ Systems Thinking: Strong understanding of system design, testing strategies, and scalability.
β’ Education: Bachelorβs or Masterβs degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
What's good to have
β’ Experience with Python and API development (REST/gRPC).
β’ Exposure to Cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure) and CI/CD pipelines.
β’ Experience combining AI reasoning with browser automation workflows.
