Job Profile Summary:
The Quantitative Portfolio Management Analyst role spans a broad spectrum of research, investment, and technical tasks. The successful candidate for this highly competitive position will work closely with a team of Portfolio Managers and other talented Portfolio Analysts to implement the required investment strategies. This involves both validating the inputs to our models as well as the output from the quantitative signals used to make "buy/sell" decisions. The Quantitative Portfolio Management Analyst t will also monitor portfolio risk and country/sector exposures, analyse portfolio returns, and conduct analysis for client communications. ln addition to the day-to-day implementation of the businessβ strategies, successful candidates will have the opportunity to contribute to research projects in conjunction with the central research team.
Responsibilities:

Work with Portfolio Managers to validate the inputs and outputs of our investment signals and assist with the day to day management of the portfolio
β’
Analyse the output of our portfolio construction process to ensure the integrity of our investment philosophy
β’
Work with large data sets and liaise with outside data vendors to identify data quality issues
β’
Design tools for evaluating portfolio implementation and performance
β’
Assist research teams with enhancing existing signals and creating new signals
β’
Conduct analysis for client communication and presentations
Key Skills & Experience:
β’ Core Technical
β’ Strong Python proficiency β you'll use it daily for signal research, backtesting, data processing, and prototyping
β’ Solid foundation in quantitative methods: statistics, probability, optimization, and factor modeling
β’ Hands-on experience with ML/DL (PyTorch, TensorFlow, or similar) β not just coursework, but building and validating models end-to-end
β’ Practical exposure to LLMs and AI agents β whether prompt engineering, fine-tuning, or building LLM-powered research workflows
β’ Research & Domain
β’ Exposure to factor-based strategies, portfolio construction, or systematic alpha research β able to independently design, test, and critically evaluate signals with rigour
β’ Comfortable working with new or unstructured datasets β cleaning, exploring, and extracting value from imperfect data
β’ Ability to assist PMs with portfolio analytics β analysing return attribution, risk decomposition, and testing portfolio construction parameters
β’ Nice-to-Haves
β’ Prior internship in quantitative research or systematic investing
β’ Familiarity with China equity markets (A-shares, market structure)
β’ Versatility to move between research and engineering β equally comfortable exploring a novel idea and shipping high-quality code
β’ Education
β’ Currently enrolled at a top-tier university in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, or a related quantitative field
