About the Role
We are looking for a Tech Lead to join our Design System team at ManyChat. This role focuses on building and evolving our Design System as a strategic platform for the company, ensuring consistency, scalability, and meaningful adoption across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- →Own the technical strategy, architecture, and long-term evolution of the Design System.
- →Define the DS roadmap, engineering principles, governance model, and maturity targets.
- →Establish and evolve the Design System adoption framework by defining success metrics, analyzing usage data, identifying friction points, and driving improvements.
- →Mentor engineers, lead technical discussions, and foster a strong engineering culture within and beyond the team.
- →Maintain high-quality standards across accessibility, performance, reliability, and developer experience.
Requirements
- ✓5+ years of experience building modern frontend applications with TypeScript and React.
- ✓Proven experience leading or scaling a Design System in a product-driven environment.
- ✓Strong experience architecting scalable component libraries with clear API design principles.
- ✓Deep knowledge of CSS architecture, design tokens, theming, and styling strategies.
- ✓Solid understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG, ARIA) and experience building accessible components.
- ✓Hands-on experience with modern frontend tooling, package management, and monorepo setups.
