About the Role
We are looking for a VP of Engineering for Navigation at Mapbox to drive technical and operational excellence, leading high-performing teams and defining the roadmap for our Navigation SDK, API, and app & Dash offerings. This role will shape the way people, packages, and vehicles move around the world.
Key Responsibilities
- →Shape the vision for Navigation products and contribute to business and product planning.
- →Drive strategic objectives and align team work with company and product goals.
- →Promote collaboration and innovation, building an inclusive environment.
- →Lead architectural decisions and drive the adoption of new technologies.
- →Oversee several engineering teams within the Navigation organization.
Requirements
- ✓15+ years leading engineering organizations, including managing managers and scaling teams of 200+ engineers.
- ✓15+ years of software engineering experience with deep technical judgment.
- ✓Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- ✓Proven track record of shipping successful products and experience coordinating deadlines, setting pricing, and developing marketing strategies.
- ✓Strong written and vocal communication skills.
- ✓Experience in navigation, mapping, or routing technologies is valuable but not required.
