About the Role
We are looking for a Principal Data Scientist to join our Data Science team at Marshmallow. This role will focus on providing technical leadership across Claims Fraud, shaping the approach to risk decisioning and fraud detection. You will work closely with Product and Engineering to build and ship ML and Generative AI systems that support claims validation and automation.
Key Responsibilities
- →Provide technical leadership for data science across Claims Fraud
- →Design, build and iterate on production ML and Generative AI/LLM systems
- →Collaborate with other Claims data scientists to identify architectural improvements
- →Advocate for robust, scalable technical solutions in cross-functional discussions
- →Set a high bar for statistical rigour, experimentation and measurement
Requirements
- ✓Significant commercial experience delivering end-to-end Machine Learning solutions
- ✓Hands-on experience building and shipping Generative AI systems in production
- ✓Strong statistical and modelling foundation with experience in risk-based decisioning
- ✓Proven ability to influence technical direction across Data Science and Engineering
- ✓Strong stakeholder management skills with confidence communicating trade-offs
