About Mesh
At Mesh, our mission is to enable consumers to pay and be paid with any asset. Today, trillions of dollars in tokenized assets exist but remain largely unusable for everyday commerce. Mesh is bridging this gap by making crypto payments reliable, useful, and ubiquitous. We combine a powerful orchestration engine with a seamless consumer app to unlock liquidity for the world. Backed by leading investors like PayPal Ventures, Paradigm, and Galaxy Ventures, we are building the infrastructure for the next era of the global economy. Join us!
Overview
Mesh is expanding into APAC and we are looking for a Senior Business Development Manager. This is a senior individual contributor role responsible for owning Mesh Pay's merchant and payment partnership pipeline across the Asia-Pacific region, with a primary focus on Singapore, Southeast Asia, South Korea, and Japan. The hire will identify, pitch, and close B2B deals with payment gateways, PSPs, acquiring banks, and crypto-ready merchants looking to embed crypto payment infrastructure. It's a full-cycle sales role, meaning the person owns everything from prospecting through close, not just pipeline management or relationship maintenance. Given Mesh Pay's Series C momentum and active APAC expansion, this person will have real autonomy and direct leadership visibility, but will also need to be comfortable operating independently in a lean, high-velocity environment across jurisdictions with varying regulatory postures. You'll work directly with the CEO of APAC and engage regularly with Mesh's global leadership, product, and BD teams.
What You'll Do
β’ Own the merchant and PSP sales pipeline across APAC β identify, qualify, pitch, and close B2B partnerships with payment gateways, acquiring banks, PSPs, and merchants seeking crypto payment infrastructure
β’ Build and maintain a high-quality pipeline of 20+ target accounts across Singapore, SEA, South Korea, and Japan, with particular focus on crypto-ready merchants and digital payment platforms
β’ Lead commercial negotiations and structure partnerships with PSPs and merchant acquirers integrating Mesh Pay's deposits and payments APIs
β’ Develop account plans for strategic targets; coordinate with Solutions Engineering and Product on technical requirements and integration scoping
Who You Are
β’ 6+ years in B2B sales or business development in payments, with meaningful time in merchant acquiring, PSP partnerships, or payment gateway BD
β’ Demonstrable track record of closing complex, multi-stakeholder commercial deals β not pipeline management, actual closed revenue
β’ Deep familiarity with the APAC payments landscape: acquirer relationships, PSP ecosystems, and how merchants make vendor decisions across SEA, Korea, or Japan
β’ Existing network in the merchant payments or PSP space in APAC β this is non-negotiable; we are not building your rolodex from scratch
β’ Strong grasp of crypto payments, stablecoins, and digital asset infrastructure; you do not need to be an engineer but you need to speak credibly on these topics
β’ Experience managing the full sales cycle independently β prospecting through close β in a lean or early-stage environment
β’ Mandarin proficiency preferred (Mandarin-speaking markets are a key growth vector for this role)
β’ Comfortable operating across jurisdictions with different regulatory postures; prior exposure to MAS-regulated fintechs or crypto-licensed businesses is a strong plus
β’ Prior experience at a crypto exchange, stablecoin issuer, or crypto infrastructure company, preferred
β’ Existing relationships at payment platforms active in Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, South Korea, or Japan, preferred
β’ Familiarity with API-led commercial partnerships and ability to navigate technical conversations with product and engineering counterparts, preferred
β’ Experience with Travel Rule compliance implications for payments businesses in APAC, preferred
