About the Role
The Openstack Technical Support Engineer is responsible for solving complex technical issues within large-scale customer cloud environments. This role focuses on advanced troubleshooting, incident response, and problem management for Mirantis' largest customers, with a strong emphasis on OpenStack- and Kubernetes-based platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- →Troubleshoot private cloud deployments based on OpenStack, Kubernetes, Mirantis Container Runtime, and related cloud technologies
- →Provide high-tier support for critical product issues, including leading high-severity incident calls
- →Act as a shift-level technical leader, maintaining awareness of platform health and responding to alerts
- →Perform cluster upgrades and lifecycle operations with minimal disruption
- →Communicate clearly with customers during incidents, providing accurate status updates
- →Own escalations end-to-end by routing issues to appropriate teams
- →Lead incident management efforts by documenting findings and driving corrective actions
- →Reproduce customer issues in lab environments and validate defects
- →Work closely with engineering teams to review issues and track fixes
Requirements
- ✓Experience with OpenStack and Kubernetes platforms
- ✓Strong troubleshooting skills for cloud technologies
- ✓Ability to lead incident calls and coordinate cross-functional resources
- ✓Clear communication skills for customer interactions
- ✓Experience with Ceph storage and networking technologies
- ✓Knowledge of Mirantis Container Runtime and related technologies
- ✓Ability to work third-shift hours (11:00 PM – 7:00 AM, Monday through Friday)
