About the Role
We are seeking an experienced System Administrator / Developer to provide enterprise sustainment and modernization support for the VA National Acquisition Center Contract Management (NAC CM) system. This role supports front-end applications, hosted environments, and modernization initiatives while ensuring system stability, security, and compliance with federal IT standards.
Key Responsibilities
- →Maintain and configure Windows and Linux servers supporting NAC CM operations
- →Manage and sustain IIS-hosted application environments
- →Perform system patching, certificate renewals, and security updates
- →Support Excel tool modernization (2021 → 2024 compatibility upgrades)
- →Troubleshoot and resolve TEST/PROD environment discrepancies
- →Monitor automated jobs and rerun failed processes as needed
- →Support cloud migration planning and execution (if directed)
- →Implement secure configurations aligned with federal cybersecurity standards
- →Provide tiered help desk support following the established incident priority matrix
Requirements
- ✓Minimum 5 years of system administration and application development experience
- ✓Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- ✓Operating System Certification (Windows or Linux)
- ✓.NET or Java Certification
- ✓Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance
