About the Role

We are looking for a Forward Deployed Engineer to join the ModernFi team and help onboard financial institutions to our platform. This role focuses on ensuring seamless technical onboarding experiences for clients and improving our processes as the company scales.

Key Responsibilities

→Lead technical onboarding of new institutions to the ModernFi platform
→Manage infrastructure setup for clients, including provisioning SFTP servers and keypairs
→Collaborate with bank IT teams to configure SSO in Auth0
→Coordinate onboarding for third-party digital banking integrations
→Own and improve our public API documentation
→Build tooling and internal features to make onboarding more efficient
→Optimize our self-service onboarding tool
→Translate between technical and non-technical audiences

Requirements

✓Engineering background with a CS degree or equivalent experience
✓Comfortable working with code and infrastructure
✓Excellent communication skills to guide clients through technical setup
✓Experience with tools like AWS, Auth0, Pulumi, Python, PostgreSQL, or Retool is a plus
✓Collaborative and positive team player
