About the Role
We are seeking a Pre-Sales Solution Architect to join MongoDB's Pre-Sales organization. This role involves guiding customers in designing and building reliable, scalable systems using the MongoDB data platform, ensuring customer success through software design, deployment, and operations.
Key Responsibilities
- →Design scalable, performant applications and infrastructure with MongoDB as the foundation
- →Act as a trusted partner to customer leadership on architecture patterns
- →Articulate the platform's long-term business value
- →Collaborate with sales on account planning and opportunity prioritization
- →Lead technical discovery and Proof of Value initiatives
- →Share field insights with Product and Engineering to influence the roadmap
- →Mentor the Solutions Consulting organization
Requirements
- ✓5+ years of related experience in a customer-facing role
- ✓Minimum 3 years of experience in pre-sales with enterprise software
- ✓Minimum of 3 years experience with modern scripting languages (e.g., Python, Node.js, SQL) and/or popular programming languages (e.g., C/C++, Java, C#)
- ✓Experience designing with scalable and highly available distributed systems in the cloud and on-prem
- ✓Experience in automated performance testing using tools like Locust, Gatling, or jMeter
- ✓Demonstrated ability to work with customers to review complex architecture of existing applications
- ✓Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills
- ✓Ability to strategize with sales teams and provide recommendations on account strategy
- ✓Ability to travel up to 30%
- ✓A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
