About the Role
We are looking for an Editor to shape and lead Founder Brew, a new publication dedicated to exploring the real lives, decisions, and psychology of people building companies. This strategic and hands-on role involves setting editorial strategy and helping reporters execute stories for this brand new Morning Brew Inc. publication.
Key Responsibilities
- →Pitch, report, and write stories and other journalistic endeavors for Founder Brew via newsletter, on-site articles, and other distribution venues
- →Focus on 'as-told-to' narratives by speaking with founders
- →Generate ideas for and lead/co-lead creation of non-newsletter editorial initiatives, enterprise pieces, and evergreen content
Requirements
- ✓Interest and expertise in business writing and reporting
- ✓At least 8 years of journalism experience
- ✓Ability to write in the Morning Brew style (engaging, informative, clever)
- ✓Self-starter attitude with ability to operate in a collaborative, quickly-changing environment
- ✓Combination of attention to detail and creative, strategic thinking
- ✓Excellent communication skills with a mindset for collaboration
- ✓Ability to operate in a high-pressure environment with tight deadlines
