About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Automation Engineer to join our team at Natera. This role involves developing and implementing complex laboratory automation and integrated systems, with a focus on NGS and supporting assays.
Key Responsibilities
- →Conceptualize, design, develop, and implement automated solutions for robust, reliable performance of NGS and supporting assays
- →Apply knowledge from one automation technology or workflow to other types of projects or platforms
- →Work with cross-functional teams of scientists, engineers, and software engineers to deliver automated platforms
- →Provide high-level support for processes developed at both instrument and assay results levels
- →Lead small to medium-sized teams in larger overall projects
Requirements
- ✓Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Biological Engineering, closely related scientific field, or equivalent
- ✓6+ years of experience in laboratory automation engineering
- ✓Technical expertise in automation and systems development and integration in the life sciences industry, especially with robotics and liquid handling systems
- ✓Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- ✓Excellent problem-solving skills
- ✓Strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as presentation skills
- ✓Flexibility to support several simultaneous projects
- ✓Developing leadership skills
