About the Role
The NBCUniversal Media Group is seeking a Data Governance Analyst to join our Decision Sciences team. This role will be responsible for ensuring Data Governance standards and controls are maintained across our portfolio of Media Group brands, supporting business and commercial needs while navigating complex regulatory environments.
Key Responsibilities
- →Ensure adherence to data protection laws and regulations including CPRA, COPPA, GDPR, and VPPA
- →Implement and monitor policies and standards associated with business unit data assets
- →Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure alignment with regulatory requirements
- →Close collaboration with business, technology, and customer experience teams to deliver Data Governance guidance
- →Introduce quality, monitoring, and protection KPIs to measure against Data Governance objectives
- →Prepare for and respond to internal and external audits and regulatory inquiries
- →Develop and implement technology strategies for Data Governance controls
- →Create and manage cross-functional policy-making teams
Requirements
- ✓Strong understanding of data governance principles and practices
- ✓Experience with regulatory compliance in a complex, multi-jurisdictional environment
- ✓Knowledge of data protection laws such as GDPR, CPRA, COPPA, and VPPA
- ✓Ability to interpret and apply regulatory guidelines to support business objectives
- ✓Experience working with privacy legal counsel and data engineering teams
- ✓Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- ✓Ability to develop and implement technology strategies for governance controls
- ✓Experience with audit preparation and regulatory inquiry responses
