About the Role
The Finance Manager Brazil will be responsible for the timely and accurate completion of monthly financial closings in accordance with US & local GAAP for Brazil, as well as all financial operating and compliance activities in the country. This role is a key member of LATAMβs accounting team, supporting the continued growth in Brazil and its integration within the overall regional portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- βOwnership of day-to-day accounting processes, including financial reporting, accounting operations, and reconciliations
- βLead the timely and accurate monthly review and validation of the Monthly Reporting package (IFRS to GAAP)
- βResponsible for delivering monthly, quarterly, and annual trial balances prepared in accordance with US GAAP
- βOwn monthly close processes to ensure accurate financial bookings and timely reporting
- βReconcile intercompany and other third partiesβ statements
- βSupport Budget & Forecast processes and analysis
- βFurther establish and manage internal controls to safeguard company assets
- βDrive robust documentation process of key processes
- βCollaborate with Corporate tax & legal, accounting and service providers to support accurate and timely transfer pricing models
- βLiaise with third parties and Corporate Tax team to ensure compliance with tax regulations
- βAssist and support with internal and external audits (statutory & SOX)
- βRecommend process changes, systems and workflow automation
- βSupervise external accounting firms to meet internal deadlines & tax compliance
- βManage and enhance the Accounts Payable process
- βReview and manage AR movements and aging against billing contracts
- βLead and manage cash flow forecasting process
Requirements
- βStrong understanding of US GAAP and local Brazilian accounting standards
- βExperience with financial reporting and accounting operations
- βKnowledge of tax compliance and internal controls
- βAbility to work effectively in a team environment and communicate with all levels of the organization
- βExperience with SAP and other accounting systems
- βStrong analytical and problem-solving skills
- βAbility to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- βExperience with budgeting and forecasting processes
- βKnowledge of transfer pricing models and tax regulations
