About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Producer/Editor to join our newsroom team. This role involves creating compelling content and managing various aspects of video production in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

→Pitch relevant and compelling ideas for day-of and future segments
→Shoot, script and edit original videos
→Work closely with correspondents to develop strong visual stories with clear narratives
→Work in the show rundown to build segments and write intros to packages
→Edit on AVID and Adobe Premiere, finding the best video and sound for assigned stories
→Order graphics through template-based graphics systems and graphics team
→Find and book engaging guests for live and taped segments; conduct pre-interviews
→Shoot in the field on DSLR and full frame cameras, and produce stories from a desk
→Multi-task and juggle producing multiple stories for regular and breaking-news programming
→Quality check all video content
→Keep Senior Producers and the EP updated with daily news development
→Collaborate with multiple show teams and day parts across NBC News Now and the network

Requirements

✓Experience in producing and editing video content
✓Strong editorial depth and visual sensibility
✓Ability to adapt to breaking news and last minute rundown changes
✓Ability to write error-free copy under tight deadlines
✓Experience with AVID and Adobe Premiere
✓Experience with DSLR and full frame cameras
✓Ability to multi-task and manage multiple stories simultaneously
