About the Role
The Automation Engineer works closely with product managers, engineering leads, and agile teams to deliver sprint goals while ensuring product quality, reliability, and performance. This role involves developing and maintaining automation tests and promoting engineering best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- →Develop and maintain BDD tests derived from user stories and acceptance criteria
- →Write and maintain automation code for browser interfaces, microservices, APIs, and data transformations
- →Support and guide team members in developing automated tests
- →Champion software engineering practices including coding guidelines and test automation
- →Identify and evaluate opportunities for technology and process improvements
- →Lead activities supporting system rollouts and user training
- →Investigate and diagnose customer issues to refine test cases
- →Document findings and automate processes for efficiency
- →Mentor junior team members and foster continuous improvement
Requirements
- ✓Experience with BDD testing frameworks
- ✓Strong understanding of application interfaces and software components
- ✓Proficiency in automation code development for various systems
- ✓Knowledge of test automation principles and practices
- ✓Ability to guide and support team members in test development
- ✓Familiarity with software engineering best practices
