About the Role
Nestmed is seeking a Senior Android Engineer to own and evolve our mobile experience, which serves as the primary interface for clinicians documenting care in patients' homes. You'll work directly with our CEO and CTO to solve technical problems and shape the mobile platform as we scale.
Key Responsibilities
- →Own critical mobile infrastructure including real-time voice capture and background audio processing
- →Develop foreground services for reliability across long recording sessions
- →Implement offline-first architecture with intelligent sync for low-connectivity environments
- →Build modern UI with Jetpack Compose for documentation review and editing
- →Create system-level integrations for enterprise MDM deployments
- →Optimize performance across diverse Android devices and OS versions
Requirements
- ✓4+ years of professional Android development experience
- ✓Strong Kotlin expertise, including coroutines and flows
- ✓Proven experience with foreground services and lifecycle management
- ✓Proficiency with Jetpack Compose, including custom layouts and state management
- ✓Experience with WorkManager for scheduled and persistent tasks
- ✓Solid understanding of Android architecture components and dependency injection
- ✓Care about UX, reliability, and real-world usage in the field
- ✓Comfortable working quickly and iterating based on clinician feedback
