The Opportunity
Netwealth is investing in the evolution of its fee and charging architecture and is seeking a strategic, technically minded Product Manager to lead a core area of the platform: how fees are configured, calculated, and applied.
In this role, youβll own the product vision for the back-end services and operational processes that support adviser charging, platform fees, and regulatory updates. While largely non-customer facing, this work is critical to ensuring fee processes are scalable, reliable, and transparent.
Youβll work cross-functionally with engineering, operations, risk, and business stakeholders to simplify a complex, process-driven domain, reducing fragmentation and manual handling, and establishing a more robust fee architecture that provides a clear and consistent view of fees.
Key Responsibilities
- Be an expert in your product, its intended customers (internal and external), and the operational space it supports
- Define and execute the product strategy for fee architecture, charging processes, and supporting back-end services
- Lead product discovery through stakeholder engagement, process mapping, and analysis of current fee models and workflows
- Design and evolve scalable, resilient approaches for creating, updating, and applying fees across the platform
- Consolidate fragmented fee logic into more consistent and transparent structures that provide a clear view of fees at an individual level
- Collaborate closely with engineering to ideate, test, and deliver improvements to core fee and charging infrastructure
- Champion a product-led mindset and coaching the team in modern product thinking
- Identify and track key product and operational metrics to measure product health, efficiency, and risk
- Manage BAU, regulatory, and operational changes across fee-related services
- Influence and align stakeholders across technology, operations, finance, and risk, advocating for product decisions with clarity and confidence
About You
Youβre a strategic product manager with strong technical curiosity and a genuine interest in solving complex, back-end and operational problems. Youβre comfortable working in spaces where the value is not immediately visible to customers but is critical to long-term platform success. Your skills and experience include:
- Proven experience in product management, ideally within complex back-end, operational, or platform environments
- Exposure to fee models, financial operations, or transaction-based systems
- Strong ability to simplify complex processes and technical concepts and communicate them clearly
- Experience working in cross-functional environments with engineering, operations, and senior stakeholders
- Comfort navigating ambiguity and bringing structure to process-heavy spaces
- A product-led mindset, with the ability to balance day-to-day operational needs with longer-term architectural improvement
