About the Role

The Security Operations Center (SOC) Operator plays a critical role in ensuring the safety and security of patients, facilities, visitors, and staff members at NM. This position is directly accountable for the effective flow of information from the SOC to various security personnel and managers.

Key Responsibilities

→Receive and prioritize incoming calls, emails, and alerts related to security incidents and emergencies
→Dispatch security personnel to respond to incidents, alarms, and requests for assistance
→Monitor surveillance cameras, access control systems, and other physical security technologies
→Respond to security alarms including intrusion, fire, and duress alarms
→Maintain clear communication with security personnel, supervisors, and stakeholders
→Record all incidents, responses, and actions in an incident management system
→Assist with implementation and enforcement of security policies and procedures
→Provide clear instructions to security personnel during critical situations
→Relay critical information to appropriate stakeholders including hospital leadership
→Coordinate with emergency services such as law enforcement and medical services
→Escalate high-priority incidents to management or authorities
→Address and relay security-related hardware or software issues
