About the Role:
The Marketplace Operations Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operational performance of WiseMatch. Reporting to the GM of Strategic Growth, this role is accountable for translating strategy into execution β owning performance monitoring, demand activation, supply intelligence, and cross-functional coordination. The role requires strong analytical capabilities, marketplace fluency, and proficiency with AI tools to support the pace and volume of work.
Responsibilities Include:
β’ Marketplace Performance & Diagnostics
β’ Monitor marketplace health across key dimensions including liquidity, supply/demand balance, conversion rates, and channel mix.
β’ Diagnose drivers of performance and underperformance; coordinate with product, talent acquisition, operations, BI, and partnerships teams to size and address issues.
β’ Define and maintain the operational metrics used to assess marketplace health and visibility.
β’ Build and maintain a regular performance cadence, including dashboards and written narratives that summarize current performance, root causes, and recommended actions.
β’ Utilize AI tools to accelerate data synthesis, scenario modeling, and performance reporting.
β’ Demand Activation
β’ Identify and implement opportunities to improve booking volume through existing channels, including traffic optimization and conversion improvement.
β’ Evaluate channel readiness as new demand sources come online; develop activation plans to capture volume at launch.
β’ Supply Intelligence
β’ Analyze demand signals to identify supply gaps, match quality issues, and provider capacity needs by geography and specialty.
β’ Coordinate with the operations team to troubleshoot supply-side issues including slot capacity degradation, geographic coverage gaps, and in-network availability.
β’ Assess supply positioning at a qualitative level β ensuring the right providers are available to the right members, not only that aggregate supply targets are met.
β’ Analytics & Marketplace Health
β’ Own the weekly and monthly performance reporting cadence, including narrative summaries for internal stakeholders.
β’ Develop and maintain diagnostic tools including conversion funnel analytics, geo-level supply/demand balance reports, and channel-level performance tracking.
β’ Apply AI tools to support data synthesis, narrative development, and scenario analysis.
β’ ββStrategic Initiatives
β’ Support and lead workstreams connected to the broader WiseMatch launch strategy, including brand, partnerships, and product differentiation efforts.
β’ Adapt to shifting priorities as the marketplace matures; take ownership of new workstreams as assigned.
Qualifications:
β’ 3β6 years of experience in marketplace operations, growth operations, or revenue operations.
β’ Experience at a two-sided marketplace or platform business preferred.
β’ Healthcare industry experience preferred.
β’ Executes independently; moves from problem identification to resolution without significant direction.
β’ Applies systems-level thinking to marketplace dynamics, including the relationship between supply, demand, conversion, and channel performance.
β’ Proficient with AI tools (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT) as a core part of day-to-day work, including for data synthesis, analysis, and written deliverables.
β’ Effective at driving action across cross-functional teams without direct authority.
β’ Analytically strong; able to pull and interpret data, build analyses, and translate findings into clear recommendations.
β’ Operationally disciplined; follows through on commitments and maintains continuity across workstreams.
β’ Functions effectively in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.
β’ Communicates clearly and concisely, both in written form and verbally.

Physical Requirements:
β’ Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
β’ Must be able to frequently communicate with others through virtual meeting applications such as Zoom and Google Meet.
β’ Must be able to observe and communicate information on company provided laptop.
β’ Move up to 10 pounds on occasion.

Starting pay for qualified applicants will depend on a combination of job-related factors, which may include education, training, experience, location, business needs, or market demands. The expected salary range for this role is set forth below and this range may be modified in the future.
The salary range for Geo 1 (all states, excluding those in Geo 2 or Geo 3, and D.C.) is..$109,700 - $117,800.
The salary range for Geo 2 (CO, HI, MD, RI) is $120,700 - $129,600.
The salary range for Geo 3 (AK, CA, CT, MA, NJ, NY, WA) is $126,200 - $135,500.
All zones are eligible for equity in the form of stock options, plus target bonus incentives based on performance.

Voluntary benefits such as 401k retirement, medical, dental, vision, FSA, HSA, dependent care and commuter/parking options are also available.
