About the Role
We are looking for a Product Manager to join Octopus Energy's Technology team (Octopus Tech) and support our Business teams globally. This role will work closely with local business teams to gather their needs, decide what matters most, and quickly deliver practical solutions that can be improved over time.
Key Responsibilities
- →Collect and prioritize needs from local business teams
- →Define requirements and guide solutions from concept to delivery
- →Own and maintain the B2B product roadmap, balancing business priorities and quick wins
- →Work with engineering, design and ops teams to launch quickly and iterate based on feedback
- →Keep stakeholders informed and aligned throughout the process
- →Define and track key product metrics, analyse performance data, and derive actionable insights to drive continuous improvement
- →Outline and prioritise technical requirements for dependencies on other teams
Requirements
- ✓Proven experience in a product management role within a product-led company
- ✓Genuine care for customers and tireless advocacy on their behalf
- ✓Strength in tackling problems directly and shaping effective solutions beyond rigid guidelines
- ✓Strong bias towards outcomes over processes
- ✓Confidence in handling large-scale tasks independently
- ✓Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- ✓Strong judgment in prioritisation: knowing what needs doing now, and what can wait
- ✓Skill in juggling multiple tasks and shifting smoothly between competing demands
- ✓Comfort with ambiguity, with a drive to build shared understanding and transparency among stakeholders
- ✓Proactive communication and early issue-spotting
- ✓Decisiveness and the ability to make sound choices quickly
- ✓Empathy when delegating and collaborating, ensuring others feel supported
- ✓Enthusiasm for being the connector - the 'glue' that holds teams together
