About the Role
We are looking for a Software Engineering Manager to lead our Load Testing team at Okta. This role involves building and leading a team of performance load testing engineers to ensure our cloud-based identity solutions are scalable and reliable.
Key Responsibilities
- →Build and lead a team of performance load testing engineers
- →Implement agile processes and ensure accountability
- →Develop and maintain a backlog of high-impact load tests
- →Set the bar for technical execution and participation
- →Encourage a technical growth mindset and advocate for process improvements
- →Partner with other testing managers to build a cohesive approach to testing
- →Nurture a "shift left" culture for performance
- →Work with all parts of the Customer Identity Cloud service offering
Requirements
- ✓Strong technical background with previous experience as a developer or systems engineer
- ✓Experience leading software development or QA testing teams
- ✓Expert level knowledge with load testing tooling
- ✓Experience with application software in Node.js using frameworks such as Hapi.js or Fastify
- ✓Experience with API-driven cloud-native distributed system application architecture
- ✓Familiarity with PostgreSQL and MongoDB
- ✓Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- ✓Passion for driving performance improvement in software
- ✓Excellent collaboration skills and a track record of cross-functional collaboration
