About the Role
We are looking for a technical writer who is passionate about creating and delivering developer-centered technical content for developer.okta.com. This role focuses on helping Okta's community of developers adopt and deploy our solutions successfully.
Key Responsibilities
- →Design, develop, edit, and deliver accurate and effective developer documentation for Okta products.
- →Work closely with Engineering, Product Management, QA, Support, and members of the Information Development team to ensure quality and accuracy of content.
- →Follow documentation guidelines to produce high quality documentation.
- →Prioritize projects when working with multiple engineering teams.
- →Collaborate with developers to review API documentation.
- →Analyze customer feedback to enhance content depth, quality, and relevance.
Requirements
- ✓Minimum 4 years relevant experience writing documentation for Cloud or Enterprise products.
- ✓Bachelor’s degree or certificate in Technical Writing is preferred.
- ✓Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
- ✓Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- ✓Experience writing SDK, CLI, or developer tools documentation.
- ✓Experience writing developer documentation and release notes.
- ✓Experience with Markdown, Visual Studio Code, Acrolinx, and source control tools such as Git and GitHub.
- ✓Familiarity working with Jira and Confluence.
- ✓Collaboration skills with other writers.
