This is an opportunity to do career-defining work. We're all in on this mission. If you are too, let's talk.
Description
We are seeking a ServiceNow ITAM Developer to join our ServiceNow Platform Team. This role is a key driver in our mission to manage the full lifecycle, compliance, and financial impact of our global technology footprint. You will serve as the technical SME for Software Asset Management (SAM) and Hardware Asset Management (HAM), ensuring our platform delivers an accurate, real-time view of asset visibility and cloud consumption.
This is a highly collaborative and integrated role. You will work closely with our SAM Managers to translate complex asset management business processes into technical solutions that identify and capture cost-saving opportunities. You will manage a sophisticated ecosystem that connects financial data from Workday and NetSuite, procurement data from Coupa, and endpoint data from JAMF and Intune. Your expertise will bridge the gap between technical data modeling and strategic business outcomes.
Responsibilities
β’ Lead technical delivery for ServiceNow SAM and HAM, focusing on the Content Library, Normalization engines, and Reconciliation processes.
β’ Partner with business stakeholders to analyze asset management business processes and implement automated workflows that drive license reclamation and cost-avoidance strategies.
β’ Oversee and troubleshoot complex integrations with core systems, including Coupa, Okta, JAMF, and Intune, ensuring data flow is consistent and accurate.
β’ Build, configure, and maintain integrations with SaaS connectors (e.g., Salesforce, Workday, Adobe) and develop custom integrations for unique software vendors using IntegrationHub.
β’ Build and maintain automated workflows for the hardware lifecycle, following Common Service Data Model (CSDM) best practices to keep the Asset and CI tables in sync.
β’ Implement HAM Pro features like Hardware Model Normalization, Mobile Asset Tracking, and Asset Inventory Audit workflows.
β’ Manage Cloud Cost Management (CCM) workflows to provide visibility and optimization for AWS and GCP spend.
β’ Manage Software Spend Detection by integrating financial data from Workday and NetSuite to identify tail spend and shadow IT.
β’ Design advanced dashboards and Performance Analytics widgets to report on compliance, cloud savings, and hardware refresh cycles for executive leadership.
Requirements
β’ 3-5 years of experience as a ServiceNow Developer, with at least 2 years of deep focus on SAM and HAM.
β’ ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) is required; CISβSAM or CISβHAM is highly preferred.
β’ Strong understanding of ITAM business processes (e.g., procurement, deployment, harvesting, and disposal) and how they translate into platform configuration.
β’ Expertise in the ServiceNow SAM data model and its relationship with the CMDB and CSDM, maintaining architectural integrity across Software Models, Entitlements, and Discovery Models
β’ Proven experience with Cloud Cost Management/Optimization for AWS and GCP.
β’ Hands-on experience building both Out-of-the-Box SaaS connectors and custom integrations using REST/JSON and IntegrationHub.
β’ Technical proficiency in ServiceNow scripting, including JavaScript, GlideRecord, Flow Designer, and Scheduled Jobs.
β’ Familiarity with discovery tools like ServiceNow Discovery, JAMF, and Intune, and their role in the normalization process.
β’ Ability to troubleshoot complex normalization and reconciliation issues by analyzing raw discovery data vs. library content.
