We are looking for a Staff Software Engineer to join Onebrief, a collaboration and AI-powered workflow software company for military staffs. This senior IC role involves tackling challenging full-stack problems at the intersection of system design, product complexity, and real-world stakes.
Key Responsibilities
- βLead multi-sprint initiatives requiring technical depth and product intuition
- βImprove system quality and dev experience by cleaning up pain points
- βDrive technical direction within your team and contribute to architecture across adjacent systems
- βSupport and unblock peers through async reviews, pairing, and mentorship
- βWork in an async-first way, aligning clearly on scope, tradeoffs, and outcomes
- βBuild across the stack using TypeScript/React/Node with PostgreSQL, Redis, and Kubernetes
Requirements
- β12+ years of experience as a Software Engineer
- βSystems thinking and pragmatic architectural judgment
- βA track record of shipping in B2B SaaS or similarly demanding domains
- βClear, context-rich communication across PRs, RFCs, and collaborative docs
- βComfort navigating ambiguity and low-process, async environments
- βHands-on experience improving team velocity via tooling or process improvements
