About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager to drive cross-functional security, privacy, and compliance initiatives at OpenAI. This role focuses on executing complex programs that reduce internal data access, prevent misuse, and ship security capabilities across infrastructure, product, and policy domains.
Key Responsibilities
- →Drive execution of critical security and compliance programs including vulnerability management, merger and acquisition security, infrastructure hardening, and datacenter security management
- →Partner with Infrastructure, Application, Legal, Privacy, and Security teams to build scalable programs and deliver critical security outcomes
- →Establish scalable frameworks and build programs around critical security initiatives including evidence collection, incident response coordination, and supply chain risk management
- →Track and enforce OpenAI’s privacy and security requirements by translating commitments into engineering milestones
- →Create and maintain program-level visibility across risk areas, security milestones, and cross-org dependencies
- →Communicate status, risks, tradeoffs, and decisions clearly to technical and executive audiences
Requirements
- ✓10+ years of experience leading complex technical programs focused on infrastructure security, data privacy, or compliance
- ✓Experience at the Senior Manager, Director, or equivalent level in a fast-paced, high-scale technology company
- ✓Deep fluency in the intersection of engineering systems, security controls, and regulatory expectations
- ✓Proven record of success driving highly cross-functional efforts across engineering, infrastructure, legal, compliance, and product stakeholders
- ✓Structured, detail-oriented approach with rigor in ensuring quality, accountability, and durable delivery
