About the Role
We are looking for a Director of Product Management, Hardware to help deliver groundbreaking hardware products that customers will love. This role will be a driving force in delivering an unmatched product experience through collaboration with a global, cross-functional team.
Key Responsibilities
- βTake ownership of a hardware product to maximize company impact and customer satisfaction
- βMonitor and understand new technologies in the consumer and wearables market
- βCraft a unique product story rooted in deep customer insights
- βProactively identify and resolve product-related issues
- βConduct market research, competitive analysis, and user studies
- βWrite and manage product requirements, assess progress, and facilitate decision making
- βSupport the entire product lifecycle from concept to end of life
- βPrioritize features, options, and product improvements
- βCommunicate priorities, plans, progress, and challenges to stakeholders
- βWork closely with designers, engineers, scientists, marketers, and analysts
- βContribute to the vision, strategy, and roadmap for hardware products
- βSupport go-to-market readiness by developing positioning and pricing
- βDetermine staffing and resources needed for your area of ownership
- βGrow, manage, and mentor team members
Requirements
- β10+ years of experience in product management with a proven track record
- βDeep understanding of hardware development including design, manufacturing, and quality
- βExperience with connected electronics including connectivity, compute, battery, firmware, and software
- βSuccessfully taken hardware products from concept to commercial launch
- βAbility to combine consumer, technology, and business insights into a simple narrative
- βAbility to analyze and solve challenging problems under pressure
- βUnmatched ability to get things done and unblock tricky situations
- βExcellent written and presentation skills
- βPeople management experience
