About the Role
We are looking for a Research Project Manager to join our Research Operations team at Oura in San Diego, with a focus on hardware research programs. This role will support the scientific process from protocol design through data collection, helping to develop and validate new features for our award-winning products.
Key Responsibilities
- βManage 2-5 hardware research studies simultaneously, overseeing protocol development, data collection, and quality control
- βBuild relationships with institutional partners and CROs to expand data collection capabilities
- βCollaborate with technical partners and communicate study progress
- βTroubleshoot technical issues across firmware, software, and study operations
- βDrive continuous improvement in research tools, processes, and documentation
Requirements
- βAt least 2 years of experience working on human research studies
- βAt least 1 year of direct project management experience
- βAt least 1 year of experience working with external research partners
- βExperience with wearable tech, medical devices, and/or prototype validation
- βStrong grasp of research best practices (GCP or equivalent)
- βComfortable with ambiguity and fast-paced iteration
- βBased in San Diego with availability for regular on-site work
