About the Role
You will be the on-the-ground owner of Outpost's Brazilian entity, responsible for keeping it compliant, financially healthy, and operationally sharp. This hands-on role spans accounting, tax compliance, and day-to-day operations, working closely with global teams and external advisors.
Key Responsibilities
- →Own all statutory accounting and financial reporting for the Brazilian entity
- →Manage tax filings and compliance obligations including SPED, DCTF, EFD-Contribuições, ISS, PIS/COFINS, IRPJ/CSLL
- →Oversee NFS-e and NF-e e-invoicing obligations under Brazil's electronic invoicing mandate
- →Manage relationships with local tax advisors and external auditors
- →Oversee merchant onboarding processes for Brazilian transactions
- →Manage local banking relationships and cash management
- →Support commercial operations including contracts and local vendor management
- →Act as the primary local point of contact for regulators, auditors, and banking partners
Requirements
- ✓CRC-certified Contador (mandatory)
- ✓5+ years of experience in accounting and tax compliance in Brazil, ideally in fintech, payments, or financial services
- ✓Deep working knowledge of Brazil's indirect and direct tax regime including SPED, DCTF, EFD, ISS, PIS/COFINS, NFe/NFSe
- ✓Experience with Banco Central do Brasil regulations is a strong advantage
- ✓Fluent in Portuguese; working English required for communication with the global team
- ✓Comfortable operating in a fast-moving, internationally distributed team
- ✓Someone who is energised by building, not just maintaining
