About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Security Engineer to join our team at Panopto, a leader in visual and audio-based learning technology. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the security posture of a platform used by millions, working closely with developers to build secure systems from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities
- →Design secure systems by conducting threat modeling and ensuring security is integrated from the first line of code
- →Drive proactive defense by building and maintaining automated scanning, penetration testing frameworks, and monitoring tools within AWS CI/CD pipelines
- →Own governance and compliance by leading the technical implementation of controls for ISO 27001 and TX-RAMP
- →Lead incident response by conducting investigations and root-cause analysis during security events
- →Mentor the team by championing a "security-first" mindset and hosting workshops to empower developers
Requirements
- ✓Cloud Security Mastery: Proven track record of securing AWS environments (IAM, Network Security, Infrastructure-as-Code) at scale
- ✓Code-Level Proficiency: Ability to read and write code (C#, Python, or similar)
- ✓Automation Mindset: Experience with SAST/DAST and vulnerability management platforms
- ✓Pragmatic Compliance: Understanding of security in regulated environments without slowing down business velocity
- ✓Experience: 5+ years in security engineering or software development with a security focus
